Islamabad – July 5, 2024
In a surprising turn of events, the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned rally in Islamabad has been suspended.
The decision was made during a security meeting chaired by the Chief Commissioner of Islamabad, focusing on the security concerns during Muharram.
Despite being invited, PTI representatives did not attend the meeting. Following the discussion of security threats and recommendations, the Chief Commissioner decided to suspend the NOC for the rally scheduled for tomorrow.
In related news, Ali Amin Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, delivered a fiery speech at a rally in Mansehra.
He declared that anyone siding with traitors would be branded as a traitor. He urged the security forces to stay neutral and warned that the people would drag out those he described as ‘mandate thieves.’
Gandapur vowed to take the first bullet in this struggle, encouraging the people of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to join the movement.
He specifically addressed Pervez Khattak, warning him that if he gave false testimony against the PTI founder, he would not be able to stay in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Ali Muhammad Khan echoed these sentiments, stating that the PTI founder had called for setting up camps in every street and village. He pledged to take the first bullet in this movement, emphasizing that the people of Punjab would also start a similar campaign.
Khan further stated that it is better to die for freedom than live in bondage and that the people of Hazara have chosen their leader to save Pakistan.
He warned that if the oppression does not cease, he would go on a hunger strike. Khan’s message resonated with his supporters, who were urged to raise their voices across the country, in every city and village, against the ongoing injustices.
These developments indicate rising political tensions and a potentially volatile situation in the days to come.
