Jason Gillespie, the newly appointed head coach of Pakistan’s Test cricket team, has arrived in Karachi. He will hold a press conference today at the National Bank Stadium.

Gillespie, the former Australian fast bowler, was warmly welcomed with traditional Sindhi gifts, including a topi and ajrak. His visit marks the beginning of his official duties as the head coach, a position he assumed two months ago.

During his time in Karachi, Gillespie will meet the players participating in the ongoing pre-season fitness and fielding training camp at the National Stadium. This visit is part of his preparation for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which will be his first assignment as head coach.

Before departing for Australia’s Darwin, where Pakistan Shaheens will play against Bangladesh A, Gillespie provided valuable tips to the team, enhancing their preparation for the matches.
