WASHINGTON, D.C. – Donald Lu, the U.S. Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs, announced that President Biden has requested $101 million in aid for Pakistan. This aid is intended to support Pakistan in its fight against terrorism, economic recovery, and debt relief.
The financial assistance aims to help Pakistan strengthen its economy. Lu made these remarks during a testimony before the House of Representatives Committee.
“Our focus in Pakistan is on supporting democracy, economic stability, and anti-terrorism efforts,” Lu stated.
