FIA Lahore Launches Advanced Border Control Office to Tackle Illegal Immigration

Federal Investigation Agency, Lahore has taken a big lead to stem the tide of illegal immigration by inaugurating a new “Second Line Border Control” office at Allama Iqbal International Airport. Launched under the guidance of Federal Interior Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi, this initiative is powered by state-of-the-art technology.

A new control office, developed in cooperation with ICMPD, shall help to have the tightened measures against illegal immigration. The advanced system will help in strengthening security at the borders and facilitate a smooth immigration process.

The FIA Lahore Zone Director, Sarfraz Khan Virk, was given a detailed briefing about the functioning of the modern equipment. He was accompanied by the Additional Director Immigration Ayesha Agha and the ICMPD representatives. Director Virk reiterated that this high-tech equipment would manifoldly enhance the capacity of FIA to combat unlawful immigration.

This measure is one of the crucial steps toward the progress being made by the FIA in strengthening border control and national security.
