Zulfiqar Ahmed, owner of Cola Next and managing director of Paracha Textile Mills and Mezan Group, has safely returned to his home in Lahore after being reportedly abducted by eight armed men in Karachi. ARY News reported the development on Sunday, citing sources.

Ahmed was kidnapped on July 23, 2024, when his white Toyota Surf was intercepted on Karachi’s Mauripur Road. He was taken along with a friend, who was later released.

Following the kidnapping, Ahmed’s family filed a case and sought assistance from the Sindh High Court (SHC). The family and company management had initially submitted an application at the Kalri police station, but the police refused to register a complaint.

The SHC then ordered the police to lodge the case, which was registered under Section 365 on behalf of Textile Manager Imran Malik.

Karachi Police Chief Javed Alam Odho confirmed that two high-powered teams, led by the CIA deputy inspector general and the Zonal DIG, were formed to investigate the incident.

The return of Zulfiqar Ahmed has brought relief to his family and colleagues. The details surrounding his return have not yet been disclosed.
