“The team is not winning because there is a lack of unity,” Says Shoaib Malik

Former Pakistan cricket team captain Shoaib Malik has expressed his dissatisfaction with the current state of the national team, citing a lack of unity as a key reason for their recent struggles.

Speaking to the media in Lahore, Malik, who has retired from international cricket, stated that he no longer has any interest in playing for Pakistan. “The team is not winning because there is a lack of unity,” Malik said, highlighting the internal issues that he believes are affecting the team’s performance.

In a recent development, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Malik as a mentor for the Stallions in the upcoming Champions Cup. The PCB announced five mentors for the event, including Misbah-ul-Haq, Saqlain Mushtaq, Sarfaraz Ahmed, and Waqar Younis.

Malik expressed his excitement about returning to the Stallions, a team with which he has shared many memorable moments as a player and captain. “I am happy to become a mentor for the Stallions. It’s an incredible opportunity to return to a team where I have had many unforgettable experiences,” Malik said.

He further added that he is eager to share his experience and play a crucial role in enhancing the Stallions’ brand. “I will focus on improving the skills of the young players and preparing them for the challenges of international cricket. This event will help cricketers refine their abilities,” Malik concluded.
