IHC Orders IG Islamabad to Recover Missing Faizan Usman by September 10

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed the Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad to ensure the recovery of Faizan Usman, an 18-year-old who went missing from Islamabad, by September 10.

The order was issued during a hearing on a petition filed by Faizan’s father, presided over by Justice Babar Sattar.

During the hearing, the IG Islamabad informed the court that he had spent half an hour with Faizan’s father to understand the situation.

He revealed that Faizan’s last known location was first in Islamabad and later in Lahore on August 17. The IG mentioned that while some faces in the security footage were visible, others were not clear.

The footage did show vehicles that have been identified, and the relevant details have been forwarded to the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense for further investigation.

The court, acknowledging the request for more time, has given IG Islamabad until September 10 to recover Faizan Usman. The hearing has been adjourned until that date.
