The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest Test rankings, and for the first time in five years, Babar Azam has fallen out of the top 10 batters’ list. This significant drop comes on the heels of Pakistan’s recent poor performance and Babar’s ongoing struggles with form.

Babar, once hailed as the “King” of Pakistan cricket, has slipped from 9th to 12th place following a disappointing series against Bangladesh, where he failed to make an impact. This marks a major decline in his standing, reflecting the broader struggles of the Pakistan cricket team.

The series loss to Bangladesh has also resulted in a drop in Pakistan’s Test team ranking. The team has fallen from 6th to 8th place, with a rating of just 76 points—the lowest for Pakistan since 1965.

These developments highlight the challenges facing Pakistan cricket, with both individual players and the team as a whole experiencing a significant downturn.
