The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has unveiled ambitious plans to establish a world-standard safari park in Islamabad, marking a significant step in enhancing the city’s recreational and tourism infrastructure.

Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, led a pivotal meeting on Tuesday with CDA Board members, representatives from the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), and other officials to discuss the project.

The envisioned safari park aims to provide a unique and immersive experience for both residents and visitors, positioning Islamabad as a premier tourist destination. The FCDO will offer technical assistance to ensure the project adheres to global standards, reflecting a strong commitment to quality and excellence.

During the meeting, the decision was made to study internationally renowned safari parks as models for this initiative. This approach underscores the CDA’s dedication to creating a facility that meets the highest standards of recreational and educational value.

Chairman CDA also highlighted plans to enhance facilities in F-9 Park, one of Islamabad’s major green spaces, offering residents new opportunities for outdoor activities and recreation.

The establishment of the safari park is expected to boost tourism and provide Islamabad’s residents with a state-of-the-art recreational facility, further enriching the city’s appeal.
