In a significant move to bolster cyber security education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur has announced plans to establish a state-of-the-art Cyber Security Institute in Peshawar. This new initiative aims to provide high-quality cyber security training and education for the youth of KP.
During a pivotal meeting on Tuesday, CM Gandapur, along with Provincial Minister for Higher Education Meena Khan Afridi and key officials from the Higher Education and Science Technology & Information Technology departments, discussed the creation of this international standard institute. The institute will offer a range of academic programs, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees in Cyber Security.
CM Gandapur highlighted the urgent need for a specialized institution focused on cyber security to address growing digital threats and equip young professionals with essential skills. He directed the Higher Education and ST&IT departments to finalize the institute’s framework and submit detailed proposals for official approval.
The Chief Minister’s vision includes expanding this cyber security initiative to divisional headquarters across the province in the future. He emphasized the provincial government’s commitment to investing in the information technology sector and creating opportunities for KP’s talented youth to excel in both national and international job markets.
This new Cyber Security Institute will be a cornerstone of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s strategy to advance IT education and prepare students for successful careers in the rapidly evolving field of cyber security.
