In a major anti-narcotics operation, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) intercepted a large shipment of heroin hidden inside potatoes at the Karachi International Container Terminal.
Acting on intelligence reports, the ANF searched a container containing 1,198 bags of potatoes and discovered heroin skillfully concealed inside 125 of them.
The shipment was destined for Sri Lanka and had been booked by a private company.
One suspect has been arrested, and investigations are underway to apprehend others involved in the smuggling operation.
The ANF Karachi station is leading the investigation, with efforts in place to trace additional members of the drug network.
