Nasir Iqbal’s Australian Hat-Trick: Won Tasmanian Squash Open Championship

Tasmania, Australia – Pakistani squash sensation Nasir Iqbal has upheld his impressive winning streak by claiming the Tasmanian Open Squash Championship on Sunday. In a thrilling final, Iqbal defeated Switzerland’s David Barnett with a score of 3-1, marking his third title in Australia this year.

Iqbal showcased his exceptional skills, winning the final match with scores of 11-8, 12-10, 6-11, and 11-5. His victory at the Tasmanian Open adds to his already remarkable record, following triumphs at the Bendigo International and Shepparton Open, as well as a semi-final appearance at the Victoria Open earlier this year.

In the semi-finals of the Tasmanian Championship, Iqbal delivered a dominant performance against France’s Melvil Ciani-Menko, securing a straight-sets victory with scores of 4-11, 5-11, and 5-11.

These accomplishments build on his strong performance at the CNS Squash Championship final in Karachi earlier this year, highlighting his consistent form and relentless pursuit of excellence on the squash court.

Iqbal’s winning streak not only cements his position as a formidable player on the international squash scene but also brings pride to Pakistan, showcasing the nation’s talent in the sport.
