Islamabad: The latest findings from Pakistan’s seventh national census, released by the Bureau of Statistics, have unveiled significant insights into the country’s demographic landscape. According to the report, 29.75% of individuals in Pakistan are unmarried, contrasting sharply with a marriage rate of 65.97%.
The census data further highlighted that 3.78% of the population are widowed, while divorced individuals make up 0.35% and those living separately constitute 0.15%.
In terms of age demographics, the report indicated that 79% of Pakistan’s population is under 40 years old, with 40.56% being under 15 years old. Additionally, the population aged between 15 and 29 years comprises 26% of the total population.
These findings provide a comprehensive snapshot of Pakistan’s demographic structure, offering valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders across various sectors in the country.
