The prime decisions taken in the fresh meeting chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi were oriented towards improving the performance and discipline of the national cricket team. The PCB expressed a zero-tolerance policy towards indiscipline and grouping amongst the players.
Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said, “Strict action will be taken against those involved in grouping. Unity and harmony must be visible within the team. There is no place for individuals who disrupt team cohesion.” He further said that recommendations in favor of players found violating discipline would not be entertained.
The PCB has also resolved that fitness tests for players would be carried out every three months to ensure their physical preparedness for the game. A directive issued to all players was to play domestic cricket on a regular basis.
Another important decision taken was not to cut down the present amount of central contracts of players, so that they might get motivated and not suffer any financial problem.
These measures come for the betterment of the overall performance, discipline of the Pakistan cricket team—thereby more united and focused atmosphere.
